answered question 1/21/2010 I Own A John Deere 445 Lawn Tractor That I Think The Motor Seized Up In It. Which Is Cheaper New Engine, Used Engine Or Rebuild The One I Have. Snow Is A Falling,can You Help Me? Check timing gear there made from plastic , I own 2 of them 445s and they did the same thing one is 1995, one is 1996 the replacement gear made from steel, go figure !
