If you have to ask this you should NOT be breeding her at all.You will end up with a dead mom and dead litter of pups unless you have the knowledge and ability to pay for prescreening tests,pre-birth ultrasounds and/r x-rays....and a possible c-section.Can you afford all that?Are you willing to risk your pets life?

Something I need to add to the above answer,is NOTHING ,goes into the dogs crate with them...meaning,no blankies,no newspapers......no bedding of any type.If you put something in there to absorb the urine,you are defeating the entire purpose of crate training.

If you have a pregnant chihuahua,you need to have a pregnancy x ray done....I really hope she wasn't pregnant,because you are/were asking too many questions to have a safe pregnancy..sorry.Chihuahuas need c-sections way to often to have someone breeding that doesn't realize the emergency signs.

Chi 5958 said it all,and a lot nicer than I ever could have.There is no teacup anything..no teacup poodles,chihuahuas,etc.I too,breed chis,and people have walked away after I try to explain this to them.She is 100% correct on everything she says.Thank you Chi 5958.
