My parents are both Interior designers, and I would think that a lighter Burgundy maybe with a modern flower pattern will go nicely. What would also be nice is to go with a darker beige curtain and utilise the tiebacks with Burgundy and maybe some crystals.

Strangely there is no set length, it depends from person to person. I guess it's the same as man not every man is the same size. Every person has a different body structure and each person has a different length. Hope that answers your question.
