We have the same problem with one of our female black labs.  We give her some Vitamins and Super Joint Enhancer  and some aspirin for the arthritis on the advice of our vet.  I would always check with your vet to see what you can give your dog to help with the stiff legs.

I have 2 black labs and YES they do shed a lot even though the are short hair and my sister in law has 2 boxers and they too shed even though they have tiny short brittle hairs.
