Why Would My Gas Water Heater Have A Big Orange Flame?

The color of the flame is dictated by the amount of oxygen mixed with the gas. It usually has to do with the orifice on the burner tube but there is usually a throttle if you will that you can adjust. It's really just a little flap of metal at the base of the burner.

What The Purpose Of A Lava Lamp?

The purpose is to entertain. It can be fun watching the different shapes created as the lamp gets warmer and depending on the colors it can set a mood.

I currently live in Southern California and am thinking of living somewhere else. I like the thought of living on a large portion of land maybe surrounded by a grove of trees.
I have a background in plumbing and sales. I like to be around lots of people sometimes and no people at other times. I love the idea of having the earth as one big garden with no pests. That is what I think science should strive for. Also good citizenship. I can't stand litter. I don't understand why some people don't feel responsible to keep the earth clean. It's our home and the home to our children. I have been to Europe where it seems better and to Ecuador and Peru where it seems worse. I have been to the rain forest in Puerto Rico, and to the cities of Washington D. C., Boston, Atlanta, San Antonio, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. I like to travel.
