It could be the cat has some soreness inside his/her mouth, it's like smelling the puss and that stuff, same goes for horses. I would probably check it out and if there was something wrong, then I would bring her to the vet! Hope this helps, Good luck, :)
IT could be mange. There is a good side and a bad side to this.
The bad side is it looks quite unsightly, the good thing is it does not kill them.

NO! What ever you do, don't let him roll! Call the vet immediately and keep the horse on his feet and walking. Rolling twists up their intestines and this could mean having a pricy surgery done to get them untangled!!! NO!
Probably Quarter horses, we have a farm of them... Also I like All draft breeds, Belgians, Percherons, etc. We have quite a few of those too. I also like Appys, we have one and he is wonderful!!!
I like Quarter horses, but for a bad back, I would get a gaited horse, (Tenessee walker, rock mountain saddle horse, etc.) and drafts can be very comfortable!
