Press the home button and the sleep button, then wait for a few seconds. And then, wait for a couple of minutes. Then press the sleep button until there is an apple sign and then it will come to the home page.

I think the character is trying to be sarcastic and they r speaking to you in  a way like a diary because I do that a lot.
