If you want to try something really creative and fun try making a tie-dye t-shirt, you can easily find tutorials online.
Try using sites like Wattpad and Quotev, to test if what you are writing interests your target audience.
It depends how serious it is. On one hand, games boost creativity and improve hand eye co-ordination, maybe lowers social skills, but I am pretty sure they make 2 player games for that exact reason. But if you spend all of your time indoors playing games I would reconsider it.

As a teen I can understand this, there's obviously a reason as to why they want to move out, ask them why, if its a reasonable answer try to fix the problem. If they're just being a typical teen give them some tough love.
