The drain pump may be clogged or the drain pump motor may be going out. Pull the bottom panel off and pull the filter out. I always start there. Be careful there will be a lot of water coming out. Use a wet/dry vac or towels.

If it's Whirlpool built that bolt in the center comes out. 7/16 socket with extension. Turn left for it is right handed threads. Someone may have to hold the agitator while you use both hands on the ratchet.
