I'm still involved in our world of looming electronics. I inspect, use, fix, and re-buy parts I'm sure I already have parked in my attic.
I love people of all Faiths and wish I had time to befriend folks in all corners of the World God gave us. I'm continually amazed at the diverse personalities and interests people have and have learned never to come to a quick conclusion about anyone.
I would consider myself conservative and quite ole fashioned....but I have graduated to Hi Speed Internet. I finally bought a cell phone. Used it twice in two months. Most places I go have a phone.
I've been sucked into the world of STD, DTV and HDTV over-the-air channels. Addicted is more like it. For example my five favorite channels are 256degrees from my home. I probably have sixty channels without cable-and of course there's always the time 'there's nothing on" I care to watch...just like my friends with cable who have 200+channels. I just go to the Redbox or some other dollar machine to rent the latest movies if I need to.
l love old movies as well as new, particularly imaginative science-fiction and musicals. I include old ones like "The Forbidden Planet" all the way to Armagedon" ...although I consider the latter as possible. I thought the animated plane crash in Madagascar(2) was a riot! I was also greatly moved by the film Slumdog Millionaire.
Science is a great topic I enjoy, and to me it doesn't conflict with Religion and vice versa. They are two distinctly different spheres that co-exist. To me Science doesn't rule out Creation. It's just spending a lot of dollars figuring it out. It would seem as humans, we are the only species that recognize (as one leading scientist put it) a moral law...one that is 'inscribed' in everyone of us, .......everywhere....unless you consider that to be instinct? What is instinct anyway??
I enjoy female vocalists, just about anything from Faith to Country to Classical....from Charlotte Church to Sarah Brightman, however Charlotte has gone awry and I can barely understand the words of Sarah Brightman. My new favoriteis Melissa Jo Elliot.
I believe that we should remember those around us and those around the world who are less fortunate. We must remember that for every celebration there is sorrow somewhere else.
I believe one of the most important gifts we can have is the ability to Listen.
