I'm writing a backstory for my character with schizophrenia named Ava. How long does it typically take for a "neurotypical" kid to stop having imaginary friends? Read my bio to read the book!

I really don't know. My imaginary friends didn't like me. They'd always go play with the kids next door. 😔

Btw, kids with friendly friends can hang out with them throughout preschool and even until around 6-7 years old.
