Not enough praise is given these days. Oftentimes only negativity is expressed by employers to employees. It's the number one reason for losing a great employee.....
Everyone no matter how great or diligent they are needs a good pep-talk, reward or raise.
I don't know why a person should be rewarded for what they should be doing anyhow. It's often part of the job as it is, not something you should feel like is extra work.
Employees should be rewarded for consistent hard work, being punctual, not calling in sick, being dependable, and going above and beyond their duties. I've learned over my past two employers but kissing and snitching gets you rewarded.
