The ventriloquist's dummy? Just where was the first appearance of the ventriloquist's dummy taking on a personality independent of the ventriloquist first appear in film or print ?I remember a segment within the film "dead of night" with Michael Redgrave. There were also memorable adaptations elsewhere , notably in the tv series "the twilight zone" such as "the dummy" and "caesar and me" .I was wondering about whether there was a precedent in literature? Thanks to those who answer .=0)

Do you wear a watch?...What kind?

I used to and had a collection of nice watches. My favorite was my Sony watch with diamonds for the numbers' places. They all got stolen when I moved.
