If you've been cheated on, then you're definitely smarter then that. Even though it's going to hurt. You need to let him go.

No you got protect yourself and why is he in contact with his ex , hell if he truly loves you he would stop all contact with her. All the exe's do is bring trouble. If he's not over her than he you need to tell him you're moving on.
