I have a 14 yrs old male cat that has been sleeping in his litter box. I started using doggy pads in his box, hoping he'd stop sleeping in it. He's still sleeping in it. I'm baffled by this behavior, anyone out there that can explain this?

Is your House cold? Plastic litter boxes are warm due to the insulating characteristics?  Is he eating? Acting normal?
