It was a co worker and the cover was taken off because it was suspected that the worker spit in it. She look like she has herpes on her face and mouth. The drink was poured out. No harm done and she was told the drink was discarded.

If the coffee was hot enough the virus wouldn't survive.

The drink was not drunk. The question is does herpes survive in hot water?
