No not at all. It beats the alternative
I have never been big on celebrating my birthday, but I don't mind having them. It just means I know more and have seen more. I like being older and wiser. And that doesn't mean I have grown up.
As for aging, it has never really bothered me until recently. I have had two injuries in the last year that took much longer to heal. And all the sun damage I got as a child is really starting to show now.
Birthdays, no; aging, yes.
I'm always glad to see another birthday. That means I'm alive and breathing. Unfortunately that will not be the case some day.
Aging on the other hand brings aches and pains that don't seem to want to go away too quickly. A late elderly friend of mine once told me, " Getting old ain't for the weak. "
