Not today :P. However if we keep up how we are, then yes; the world could end sooner than we think. Luckily people are resorting to more environmentally friendly things such as electric cars. So the time that the world depends is in the hands of us.

Depends upon what you consider to be the "end times". An end to humankind might be brought about by many things - global pandemic - asteroid strike, runaway global warming, nuclear war, a Yellowstone eruption to name a few.

The good news is that we are better than ever in dealing with pandemics. It was once said that if the Ebola virus ever got on a plane, that half of the world would be dead within 6 months. Well it did a few years ago and outside Africa, we're all still alive. Runaway global warming is still a possibility, of course but all major governments (with the possible exception of the US) now understand the problem and the cause and steps are being taken with increasing urgency.

Nuclear war? Well that's still a possibility - with an increasingly irresponsible, belligerent and arrogant leader on one side and a populist and intellectually-challenged leader on the other who knows what will happen?

Asteroid strike - well there are reckoned to have been three major strikes on earth since higher life forms arrived, the last one put an end to the dinosaurs. There will undoubtedly be another sometime.

The next Yellowstone eruption is already 50,000 years overdue, but it might yet be another 50,000.

Tell you what? Don't worry about any of it...... Stay happy. :)

Probably we can say that nothing is permanent in this cruel world. There is always a end comes in. All you need is to be optimistic and face the harsh reality of the Life and face it.

More or less what Don Barzini said. I do think that while we may not go "extinct" right away, there will come a time when there aren't enough resources and far too many people. That will not be fun. We cannot continue at the rate of expansion and pace of life that we are at right now forever. It will have to slow down and stop eventually.

End time for what? Earth is billions of years old and it'll sustain for more billions years. No way in hell we can destroy it before it destroys us.

Not in the Biblical sense. I find the scriptural references naive and ridiculous.

I am certain that like every other species, humans will eventually be extinct, and at some point in the distant future, the earth will no longer exist. I seriously doubt that these events will occur simultaneously, or within our lifetimes.
