What are the different types of wooden windows?
If I can't see through it... Then it's not a window! I have never heard of glass made out of WOOD!
There are many different types of wooden windows, available in lots of different shapes and sizes. Some of these include:
-Casement windows
-Double-hung windows
-Picture windows
-Awning windows
-Bent windows
-Arched windows
-French casement windows
-Bay windows
-Hopper windows
This should give you some idea as to how many different types there are but there are others besides these. You can also have windows which are made from different types of wood. With so much choice, it can be difficult to know where to start. I opted for classic wooden sash windows when designing my own home but a good window company should be able to recommend the best type for your home.
