It’s been many decades ago.
Kites are fun, but my youngest is 35.
He got into kite flying at the same time that battery operated hand drills were popular.
The other dads were envious when I simply rewound the kit string with the drill adaptation I had made.
And of course, my son's kite flew highest and furthest because the effort to rewind was minimal.
I'm a fan of the Boy Scouts; was an assistant scoutmaster.
