Much life to be lived in the interim, Megan. Let’s not get to overlooking what today brings. None of us are guaranteed a “next” Christmas.
I haven't even thought about Christmas 2018. There is too much stuff to look forward to before I worry about that. For instance, my husband and I are leaving a a short camping trip in a little over a week. We are also planning a month long trip in June. Starting in June with a 4 day stay in Destin when I get to meet my brand new great-niece. From there we are going to head up to Mount Rushmore. Taking our time and seeing the sights.
I also have a brand new great-nephew due around my birthday in February. Too much life to live before worrying about next Christmas.
Definitley. I'm glad its still about 11 months away. I'm out of money from the one we just had.
According to the bible, our Elohim was never born on Dec 25 so why does the world see it as a celebration worth celebrating? Christmas is a man made holiday. If the day is Yahweh's (whom Christians know as Jesus) birthday, why do we get presents and not him? Also, the original three languages are Hebrew, Latin and Greek. Neither one of those languages had (and still don't have) a letter J in their alphabet, so where does the name Jesus come from?
Everything glamorised and commercialised.
Hey. Christmas has never been a big thing at home in my
childhood. So, I am not really looking forward to it as it is just like any
other Sunday at my place. The fact that we all work the day before and after
Christmas does not really give us time to prepare for the event. Therefore,
everyone at home just rests in bed or watches television the entire day.
