That's awful. Better concentrate on your breathing, making sure it's NOT top of the lung breathing but full lower lung breathing.

Stress is a killer. You gotta try techniques to learn how to relax. Massage and gentle stretching might help.  Up your fish oil vitamin...they are so good for calmness.

You have two very honest answers by two very good people. One is logical, you NEED to be under the care of a doctor ESPECIALLY when it comes to cardio symptoms. The other is sympathetic, giving you caring thoughts about being that anxious.

So my answer will be from personal experience. Yes I have had symptoms like that due to anxiety attacks. But no, I have never had a cardiologist check me out. The regular doctor could tell by other signs that their patient had extreme anxiety at the moment.

You'd be surprised WHAT you mind is capable of replicating for symptoms. I would see a therapist for the anxiety, and even get started on some meds for the stress . . . If the symptoms subside with anxiety meds, then you have your answer.

Stress is just a big a killer as bad eating habits and in some cases smoking . . . Seek help, and get that counciling.
