I was sad when my Miss Penny died but not like I was when my brother died.Β  I think it depends on which and how close the relative was.

Glad Motormouth is ok!!

No. I am more emotional for the one who is suffering the loss of a pet. I have never been that close to an animal. I was definitely more devastated when my sister's died.

I took it hard when my K9 died,Β  he was the best car partner I ever had, he never complained about anything I asked him to do! Was there for me no matter what.Β  Only time he looked concerned was when I drove between 100 and 145 Mph.Β  At a hundred he would turn around and stare at me.Β  At 145 he got the look β€œIf you crash at this speed I will bite you!”  In all honesty I missed Thor more than most of my past relatives

No.Β  I've loved all of my pets, and losing them is very painful, but nothing like the loss of my husband, mother, and brother.
