No. I am more emotional for the one who is suffering the loss of a pet. I have never been that close to an animal. I was definitely more devastated when my sister's died.
I took it hard when my K9 died, he was the best car partner I ever had, he never complained about anything I asked him to do! Was there for me no matter what. Only time he looked concerned was when I drove between 100 and 145 Mph. At a hundred he would turn around and stare at me. At 145 he got the look “If you crash at this speed I will bite you!” In all honesty I missed Thor more than most of my past relatives
