We who, Kimosabe? It is spurious to make blanket statements about other people framed in the context of “We”.

I am one who is just tickled by his circumstances. Couldn’t be happier if I were twins.

It may be that there are many who are so unsatisfied in their current lot that they wish otherwise or imagine themselves differently. Perhaps looking toward a role model. Lack of self-esteem, jealousy, depression, or personal insecurities, either chronic or periodic, may play a role.

Yep.

And many years later, I realized I had been exposed at an early age to the William Tell Overture.

Sometimes I just feel peer pressure to have others like me. There’s a social skill where, if you talk and act/mirror the other person, they’ll accept or even favor you. It’s something with wanting to prevent embarrassment when you are different from everyone else.

But I find most times, it’s really not that embarrassing. Most times, others don’t care at all about how you act, and it’s not worth it to change yourself and feel strange. So now I just relax and say what I want to say, from the heart.

Because you care what others think of you in case they don't like you or will judge you in someway, and that can often transfer into an almost acting nature due to self obsession, especially in a culture that is obsessed with selfies and social sites like facebook etc. The way to escape that and get back to being free,  to get involved in activities that are so absorbing that you lose your self consciousness.  Some activities you do are some much fun you're not even aware you have a body.

Of course getting old often helps as you care less about what other's think and tend to lose you inhibition,  after all you lose your battle with controlling some of your bodily functions such as breaking wind.  I remember one old lady that lived opposite me that use to speak her mind and farted the whole way through a conversation,  it was hard not to break out laughing, but I learned a lot just from her absence of any self consciousness.
