Is it okay to anonymously organize the purchase of a cup of coffee for a co-worker you've never talked to or interacted with?

"Organize"?
What do you have to "organize"?

If you want to buy someone a cup of coffee ... Do it.

It's kind of weird you'd want to do so for someone you don't know.

At the bar, we used to call this “buying a round”. Usually perceived as a generous gesture, bordering on the heroic.

I can’t relate to how this translates in the office-cube culture. Why not try the old fashioned method and ask the person? Is anonymity to your advantage?  #creepy

Yes. You can. But ensure it is appreciated.

It is always nice to make people smile when you can.

Be careful not to scare them.

I like to take a 20 out of my pocket and walk up to

someone and tell them I saw this fall out of your pocket,

then just walk away. Then smile to your self.
