I love my Kindle Fire. It's the only tablet I use, because I love reading. If I didn't love reading I'd probably go with another tablet. Not to say it's lacking anything. It just has it's own operating system (SILK) that doesn't always coincide with common apps. The Amazon app store is a far cry from Google play.

They have a good cloud though. I have the lowest storage 8g and because I have most everything in a cloud, I'm not even close to my max. Right now I have 500 books in my cloud, with about 12 currently downloaded. Only using 1/4 of my storage. I'd go with a Kindle Fire any day over a Nook.

I have 12 books and a bunch of apps, and it's still only 1/4 full. Also you can send your apps that you no longer use up to the cloud. It's also very user friendly. Don't know how old she is but they also have great parental controls. Also even if an app is free they must have an active payment card on file in order to download any app or book.

Also kindle also has Amazons version of Siri, shes called Alexa, that is really cool. I use her for anything to music playing, or info, to ordering on Amazon. Heck she even can tell me bedtime stories..LOL
