Have you ever had to give first aid?

Yep. My kids and I were eating at a Mexican restaurant when we heard this incredibly loud explosion. The restaurant staff calmly asked all of us to leave. When we went outside we saw a huge hole in the front of the Chinese restaurant next door and found out that a full size pickup truck crashed and went completely through the restaurant stopping at the back wall. About a dozen people had to be carried out and my daughter in law got her first aid kit and we started doing what we could until the EMT's arrived.

We found out a few days later that the driver of the pickup truck knew his wife was in the restaurant with her boyfriend and he purposely slammed into the restaurant trying to kill his wife.

I have had to do the Heimlich maneuver on a coworker. She was choking on a piece of hard candy.

I was working the front register when my customer went down in a seizure. I petted his head talking to him softly making sure he didn't bite/swallow his tongue til help arrived. (At least that's what we were suppose to do many moons ago when I did medical assisting class)
