I saw a badger in my yard! They're rare in these parts. Have you had any rare sightings of wildlife?

Do you mean burro? That would be kinda neat. Can you pet them, or are they wild?

Yes the donkey. Lol! Actually there is a bunch of them that come down from the hills. One time we saw a family of them crossing the street heading to the park.... they like the park during the wee hours of the morning. Another time a couple of them congregated in front of our church which they were letting people pet them.

Cool !! I'd bring apples and carrots to lure them in for a good petting. :D

A couple of years ago, I had a huge owl standing in my front yard eating something. It was about 18 inches tall. That's only the second time that I've seen an owl and the first time around here.

A friend way up the highway and deeper into the country side saw a Lynx, a wolf and a wolverine all on the same day.

Oh and an absence of rabbits.

I saw a bobcat cross the road early one morning. There has also been a bear in my yard. I didn't it, but I did see the footprint on my front walkway. It is the time of year, I may see one again. They like to eat the berries that grow on the palmettos and there are a lot of palmettos around my house.

This Gray Tree Frog was hanging around the koi pond this past spring. It's not that they are rare, but it is rare to see them on the ground and during the day since they are nocturnal. This is the only one I've ever seen. I love listening to them at night though. I've posted one of these pics before.

We have eagles visit on a reguilar basis. Once a year there is a migration of box turtles to the swampy area to lay eggs they are all over the road. Plenty of deer, especially now, tis the season. All sorts of birds perch on our back fence over looking a river.

I live within city limits and looked outside and saw at least a 10 pt buck standing in my back yard , i thought i was seeing things and as quick as it came is as quick he jumped over the back fence with no problem. Where i live now in the city there is wooded area over the hillside and we get skunks , groundhogs, sightings of coyotes.
