Yin And Yang

I have a huge announcement! Last night I actually cooked something and it wasn't ruined! And I didn't kill anything! Did you ever have a group of things thrown together and it actually taste good?

I brought bagels and cream cheese to a meeting and of course the one thing that went wrong was.... My bagels had gone moldy! Lol! So when I got home I had a brick of cream cheese that was too soft to re-refrigerate so I made some mashed potatoes with an onion and threw the cream cheese in. I seasoned it and it turned out to be sooooooo creamy! WOW! 😊

You all really are good teachers!!! Thank you so much! ☺

YINNNNN!!!!  Hooray for you!!  🙌

Throwing things together is pretty much how I cook.  I just keep the pantry well stocked, then search around for whatever flavors sound good.  I'm not much for exact recipes and measuring.  Sure, I'll use a recipe for a new dish, but eventually I just make it my own.

That's awesome Yin, congrats.

I once fried about a half pound of bacon, threw in some baked beans and a pound of cooked ground beef. It was pretty darn good.

So proud of you, Yin!  Now you just need to remember what you threw together.  (hugs)

Thank you my friend. Yes I jot down usually on the printed paper recipe the things I did. My problem is I forget where I put my papers. So I am saving them to Pinterest. I can't believe all the ideas people come up with and it seems so simple but I just don't have any imagination in the kitchen...... yet! 😆
