Yes - almost always. If I am not sure, I do some checking around first before opening one I believe is not spam. If I'm sure it's spam - I don't even open it up. You never know what that will trigger.

Most people seem to be treating it as spam email.

Third class mail delivered to your physical mail box by the USPS is lovingly(?) called junk mail by some who receive it.
