My neighbor chewed a bag of ice daily throughout both of her pregnancies but does not have the urge since her second child was born.
Shocked by an aquaintance. Found out that she has an urge to chew on ice. ( daily large bag of cubes -recently chipped her tooth ) know anything about this type of medical condition?
I remember my sister did the last few years of her life. I assumed it was a stress reliever in some sort of way. I never asked her why she always chewed on ice.
I saw a story on this. It's been associated with low iron and anemia. She may need to get a simple blood test and iron supplement.
Also low vitamin D
They really need blood work done.
