I actually cooked a decent meal!!!!! You guys are awesome teachers!!!! The meat was tender. The veggies were wonderful. It even had flavor! However you know.... It was Yin who touched it so SOMETHING had to go wrong in the kitchen! It came out too salty. It was edible because I had them mix it with plain rice. Is there another trick?
Welcome to cooking with Yin! 😅 What are ways to "de-salt" a dish that comes out a tad bit too salty?
It depends on the dish. You can add more rice, potatoes, cauliflower, milk, sour cream, corn starch or flour & water .... Whatever is called for in your recipe and doesn't contain salt.
Potatoes will absorb salt as they cook.
Hope that helps.
