If Tim only wants a real First name, and not a last name, will you give that?

I have always provided my first name, ever since I joined. For most of the time I used nothing but my first name and last initial. I prefer being called by my real first name online as I think it serves to "humanize" what I post.

And how are we to know if Tim is HIS real name. (?)

I don't know how he will ever know my last name may not be Yang.... But my better half's name is Yang!!!!!

I don't think I'd have a problem using my first name. I used it on ASK. Some members, including you Skip, know my first name. I'm not going to use my last name even though a few members know that as well. I would use my middle name, which is a common surname also. I don't see what is wrong with staying the way it is. If most members left because of this, I wouldn't see any point in sticking around either. The community itself is why I'm here. Not because of their names.

Literally, every other forum I've ever been part of has known me as Darkmajinn . . . I dispense meaningful/meaningless pockets of wisdom as such, and see no need of altering that course of action now.

I haven't been on in a couple of days, so I must have missed Tim's message.  However, there is no way that I would use my real name. The name I have now sounds real enough so it will have to suffice.
