That's totally wrong in my opinion.
College Park, MD, illegal immigrants are allowed to vote in local elections. But, US citizens that are homeless are not allowed. What are your thoughts?
Maryland is one of the few states that allows its cities and towns to decide for themselves who can vote in local elections, so that's why this was even an issue in the first place.
If we remove all the incentives to become legal, then what's the point in even making a difference between "legal" and "illegal" residents anyway? What about the immigrants who worked hard to become citizens? Isn't this just an insult to them?
I'm actually in favor of ANYBODY who is affected by a potential law or regulation being allowed to vote on it. (if it's open for voting)
One of my main gripes is with not allowing "non resident" property owners to vote on taxes that are based on property value. How is that NOT "taxation without representation"?!?
Whats new here in texas the illegals get food stamp card
