I loved it. Very different from Pokemon--the anime was much deeper and darker. Have you seen Digimon Adventure tri? It's pretty cool since it's a sequel to the original series, but aimed at people who grew up with the show rather than young kids; I think the dub is coming out soon :)
The lack of ribombee and vaporeon makes it inferior
Not a clue what this is!:(
Pokemon is better. I always thought it was just a copy cat of pokemon.
I feel that, despite comparison to Pokemon, there are many aspects of it that a more-digimon-than-pokemon-fan might think superior.
The long lasting storyline, say?
The changing-up of characters, storylines and digi-vices (although I'm not so keen on all of the different forms of digivolution- the eggs, the data swipe thing, and the legendary digimon one swipe cards, it's difficult to keep track of from season to season).
I like how digimon tend to have specific partners, which they form strong connections with, are able to converse with, and how there are consequences if they are treated badly etc. For example (SPOILERS): In the first season of digimon adventure, when Tai takes it upon himself, and the first and only owner of a crest at the time, to protect the rest of the group. From what I can remember, he confiscates the groups food and forces it upon agumon, his partner, and then puts himself in danger, causing him to evolve into skullgreymon. In the end of that episode everyone learns a lesson yay...). From what little knowledge I have of Pokemon, I can neither say the same or different, but from what I know there is the whole pokemon training and gym badges thing, where pokemon are made to fight.
Sorry, I know this was a question about only digimon but, you know.
On the other hand, I can say for Pokemon that I prefer their movies to the digimon movies, as I feel that the digimon movies seem to be somewhat inconsistent with the TV show, but even then, the TV show can sometimes be inconsistent with the TV show! Haha! I have played one Pokemon game (Heartgold) and started one digimon (Masters) and viewed one walkthrough of PSP digimon game, but I found the Pokemon game far more entertaining. I didn't like masters, and the PSP didn't differ very much from the storyline of the first series, so it wasn't very exciting, also, it was in Japanese, so I couldn't really understand it anyway...
My favourite digimon season is the first, as it was something that I can remember getting from the shops with my mother in my younger years...
My favourite big bad was probably puppetmon.
What about everyone else?
I was curious enough to go to the internet to see what it is.
I did, now I know, and I am no longer interested.
