Is it possible to go by a different name in college without my parents finding out? I mean the last thing I need is for my college to send my parents something regarding me that doesn't have the name my parents know me as. My parents can't find out about this

Your question is just as confusing as your name is!

You're in college. Technically an adult, why should it matter what your parents think?

What if they are paying? I would care.

From the way a university handle things, all students are treated as an adult including financial records, transcripts, and grades. A parent can't demand any of those things. The student can just get a po box or something and have their mail sent there.

I'm pretty sure you need a valid ID in college especially when it comes to money and how they will be getting paid for the education that you're receiving. If your parents are spending their money to educate you, then the college will keep them informed about grades and such about you.

What is it that you're trying to hide while you are there?

If you are paying your own way using your own cash, I don't think ID is required, but I could be wrong - they might want to confirm your identity so they credit the right person's account with the payment.

I would suggest keeping your nose clean in college especially if your parents are paying and party on your own dime.
