Have you ever had an adventure? Even if it's simple, the thrill of the unknown with a hint of danger?

Mine is kind of lame, but ...

We don't usually go off trail when we hike, but once in awhile we test our compass skills.  Deep in the mountains, we encountered a predator!  It was a tiny weasel, about 8 inches long.

Danger turned into adorable.  Mr. Happy wants to see a mountain lion.  Pfffft.  I'm grateful for cute.

I wasn't able to get a picture, he was too quick.  But this guy shows how "unscary" it turned out.

I as walking Arabella down a trail in a park and I thought I heard a growl. I looked around and didn't see anything, We took a couple of steps and I heard it again. Look around again, and still didn't see anything, but the growl sounded feline to me. I decided after the second time we would turn around and try a different trail. As I got back up the trail, I ran into a couple of park workers. I asked if they had bobcats in the area and they said no and asked why. When I told them about the growls they told me they had a couple of mountain lion sightings. I left after that.

My husband and I loved taking our little daughter camping, and we had our own very private spot where we always returned.  Up in the San Gabriel Mountains, there was a large fallen log off on the side of the road.  We would always move the log and drive our little car past it, and then replace it.  We would drive a little farther in, and it was like entering paradise.  We loved it!

When I was seven I crawled in a lifeless large tube

that went for miles and emptied out into a field.

It started me on a whole new journey.

I walked shaky-kneed on a swing bridge over a small local canyon.  Scary but thrilling.

Last June when we took our first extended RV trip, google maps told me to turn on a road I had no business taking the RV on. The turns were sharp and the road was very steep in parts. When I talked to a friend who lived in that area, she said she hates driving it in her little car.

These are adventures I do have.... but have never been in an RV. I call these moments the ones where your butt-cheeks leave a pinch in the seat! LOL!
