Have you ever had to call poison control? If yes, for what?

Nope, and I'm grateful.  As a matter of fact, I can't think of an instance even in our extended families.

A garage party. Some idiot put brake fluid in a beer bottle instead of a storage jug.  You can guess the rest.

Oh yes! When my son was two, the Dr. found high levels of lead in his blood. It was in the paint on the walls of the house that we were renting. The idiot landlord didn't cover any of the baby's furniture and started scraping off the paint off the walls. Paint chips were everywhere! I had to call poison control and explain what happened. They told me how to clean the furniture. They also contacted the county to report this and called the idiot landlord.

Took me several days of cleaning to get it done.

That is terrifying! Did he exhibit any kind of signs?

Yes, his fine motor skills were off; tummy pain; excessive crabbiness; unexplained headaches. The first thing my new pediatrician did was to test his blood. It was off-the-charts high.
