Birth of my two children.
Death of my father and grandmother.
Taking my national boards and passing them for my profession.

- Birth of daughter
- Second marriage
- Adoption of two youngest sons
- Surviving a heart attack
I could spend all five spots on the births of my kids, but these were real turning points:
The death of my stepfather
Earning my first Bachelors degree
Meeting the future Mrs Z
Resigning my Army Commission
Receiving my MBA (oh, the afterparty!)
- Death of a classmate at aged 15
- 1993 - birth of my son / death of my father
- 1995 - death of my step-son, father-in-law, grandmother and best friend
- New job in 1997 - stayed there for 14.5 years until I was downsized when the company was bought by another.
- 2017 - birth of granddaughter
-Coming out as homosexual
-First relationship
-My trip to Europe in college
-Graduating college
-Moving away from my hometown
That last one just happened. After living in or very close to my hometown for my entire life, I have now moved to a different state for work. I'm still not quite used to it, but it's an important step.
Each of these I'll remember the dates, times, and course of events very specifically. I'm young still--there are more significant moments to come.
