Thumbs up for NATIONAL DOLLAR DAY.  August 8 commemorates the day Congress established the U.S. Monetary system in 1786.

I'm not really sure whether or not I have ever had "frozen custard" per se,  The FDA has some technical requirements for something to be called frozen custard, but it is also apparently a phrase that is used descriptively as well in common parlance.  There are some local vendors of frozen custard---I will place that on my "to do" list.
