I don't want to live in another time. Women have come a long way over time, even in my lifetime. I don't think I could handle going back in time and being treated the way most women were treated.

Your numbers have dwindled, Sudo. So maybe you would like to travel back to a time when there were more of you and people feared you. And if your kind was not known for destroying whole towns, man would have not hunted your kind down. So maybe if we call a truce and work together in peace.

Like Gator, I am quite pleased to have lived in this time. It's an exciting era to have been part of, IMO.

We should be careful not to over-romanticize the realities of daily hardships of the past, when people died from such banalities as gum disease and childbirth, travel was difficult or impossible, food had to be gathered and hunted, and the rule of law was often absent or subject to the whim of tyrants and scalawags.

Now to be honest with you.... the leeches one and "pharmaceutical bred maggots" kind of fascinated me...... sorry guys! LOL! O_O
I actually stumbled across it because I wanted to find SOMETHING good about a maggot so hopefully I wouldn't get so grossed out if I saw one in the trash can and go crazy with the bleach and scrubbing. I found out they are interesting creatures when bred for pharmaceutical reasons. Trash can maggots are still nasty!

Would I maintain my current knowledge? . . . Probably early colonial times if I could keep my knowledge  . . . And further back I might be burned at the stake as a witch.
