My sobriety date 18 yrs and counting just cigars and pepsi and cake to celebrate
If you could make up your own national holiday, what would it be called and how would we celebrate?
Children's day. All amusement parks would be free to children 0 to 18; all Happy Meals and their equivalent would be free that day; of course no school; free medical and dental exams and free follow ups for anything found; all parents would be given the day off to be with their children; all adoptions would be fast tracked; all expenses for babies born that day would be paid for by the hospital; etc, etc,
In Canada, I would purpose the first warm day in the spring as a national holiday. After a long winter, I think the first time the temp goes to above 21 celesus the day becomes an instant holiday complete with a temperature count up.
In contrast, the first hot day in November ( above 21C) also becomes a holiday. Rare as it is in November, I think it could be fun.
