Do the police ever investigate people on chat forums such as ours. ? Please share your insights.

Depends on what you mean.

If you mean ... Just for being on the site - not normally.
(unless it's a criminal site of some sort)

Depends on what you post . . We would be silly to think that certain keywords and phrases do not trigger an event that would get national law enforcement's attention.

I really don't think they are following this site, but I am sure there are others they keep an eye on. Plus there are average citizens that will call in to the authorities when they think someone has stepped over the line.

When I was 10, the local YMCA let us sign up for a tour of, among other places, the local jail. (I lived in a very small Montana town at the time.)

It scared the excrement out of me---turns out I was claustrophobic and didn't know it.

Now I deem even jaywalking to be an unacceptable risk.

Maybe not the police, but I honestly believe there are trigger word that can raise flags somewhere else. That might get a page or two looked at. I think the police have used Facebook to catch a criminal or two though.
