That would be no and no.
I've tried them, but didn't really care for them. (I've used them for handy bait when surf fishing ... They are usually stuck to the pier posts.)
Well i love steamed mussels with garlic butter sauce
I have had them in several dishes. I like them fine. They aren't on my top ten list, but they taste good, especially in paella.
Nah. If I wanted to chew rubber, I'd eat a tire.
I've eaten mussels on many occasions, all over the world.
To me, mussels taste rather unremarkable, but they can be made a decent side dish when good ones are expertly prepared. The French do good things with mussels. I prefer them better as secondary additives in soups, stuffing and jambalaya.
That would be a big fat NO!
In New England we have Blue Mussels. I have eaten them like Steamed clams . . . Taste a bit sweeter.
My son grabbed some when we were out kayaking and brought them home, cleaned them and tossed them with white wine garlic and butter . . . He said it was the best sea food he's had.
Hello! Yes, it is pretty good as a side dish! You cannot have it on its own though, you will need some sauce alongside if it’s not 100% cooked. The taste is not very pleasant if it’s not prepared/cleaned properly. I normally have it at the best seafood restaurant around to avoid surprises!
