It's 84 degrees F and overcast right now with the breeze picking up. I just looked at the radar and there is a heavy thunderstorm going to hit in 20 minutes.
Northern Ca here. It is 1:35 and the temp is only to 91. Or, as we call it, cool.

That's because we are getting it all in Eastern / middle Canada. Torrential heavy downpours. They are nick naming it the summer of wet.
Last few days have been hot and humid.
Western Canada is faring like California. Hot and dry and suffering forrest fires in British Columbia.
It was actually chilly for summer in New England. Rainy all day with highs in the mid-60's. Today it is supposed to hit the 70's so still chilly for summer.
