Echooos is completely right. There is no good in this John, Mary and Anna situation and you need to stay out of it or else it will become a John, Mary, Anna and Lilly situation. If you really want to help Mary out..... Be there for her when she loses the guy John AND her friend Anna because that is the direction she is heading.

Wow . . . I guess I am getting too old for this kind of drama.

Do what you will when following your heart, and let the cards fall where they may. You will not always be happy with HOW they fall, but life goes on and we learn from our experiences.

OK! So I have this friend (I'll call her Mary) and she's got this crush on this guy. (John). John has a girlfriend, (Anna), and Anna and Mary are close friends. John and Mary talk a lot though, and Mary and John are pretty close. Anna treats John pretty badly relationship wise, and John has told Mary that he's going to break up with Anna. Mary now feels bad because she's really happy John is breaking up with Anna, because she is worried about him not being happy as often as he used to. Mary is also happy because she might have a chance with John, but Mary is worried because if John and Mary start going out, Anna won't forgive Mary (Anna is just that kind of person) I want to help Mary out. What do I do?? What do I say?? (names are fake)
