If we cure everyone of everything and make people genes disease free, won't population growth be an even bigger problem? Therefore wouldn't it make more sense to those in charge to leave the rest of us unfit, in poverty and susceptalbe to disease, whilst creating wars? If not what are other ways our leaders could control population growth and it's affects on our food supply, economy and  environment?

On the contrary ... History shows that population growth SLOWS when the population is more medically advanced.  That is why "developed" nations have a shrinking population, when you take immigration out of the calculation, compared to "developing" nations.

Trying to slow down population growth is not the plan.

Populating other planes is.

usually population growth is stimulated by survival rate. It will even out based on how many children tend to survive as well as the growth and industry of that country.

I do get what you are saying though . . . I have long been stating that we are OUR OWN environmental pressures that will cause the evolutionary change. The problem is that if it is not natural then we could be nothing more then a cancer on the face of the earth . . . Taxing all the resources without a natural predator (disease, genetic disorders)  to hedge us in.
