I got fired. A customer lied on me and I had a witness that told my boss I did nothing wrong. My manager emailed corporate and needless to say I lost my job. I want to know should I confront the lady and ask what all she said that got me fired?

You are so very welcome. A similar incident happened to my husband except it was a lie his ex boss said to the person looking to hire him. He was on the last hoop he had to hop through and this person's lie cost him the job. We were pretty upset. We thought this was the perfect job. But it wasn't. He got hired with another company and we are both extremely extremely happy with this one. We are both so grateful he didn't get that other job cuz then he would have never went looking for this one. Sometimes the grass gets greener as time goes on. It just needs time for the One who waters it, to water it. 😆

No. The woman obviously has it out for you and unless harassment charges on your record, I would walk away. There isn't anything you can do at this point. Just go look for another job and move on.

No don't confront the lady you will only give her more reasons to complain. The problem lies with your boss since they are firing you despite you having a witness. Try looking into unfair dismissal.

I did, well when I called corporate they said that they had a different version of the event that says I acted unprofessional. I told them that wasn't true and I had a witness. I was told it didn't matter and that apparently my manager thought otherwise.

You don't appear to have as much rights as us in the UK.

File for unemployment.  You were fired apparently through no fault of your own.

If you get approved for unemployment, get a consult with a lawyer to find out what your options might be.

Unfortunately I was fired a little more than 2 weeks shy of being able to file unemployment.

If you lost your previous job also through no fault of your own, you may still be able to get unemployment based on that job.

Unless you are in a "right to work" (more accurately---a "right to get fired") state; I'd still contact a lawyer. An initial consultation is usually free or very low cost.
