I was raised in Montana. A typical vacation was in the Rocky Mountain States or up into Alberta. Canada.
I was into photography as a kid. (Once, when we were in Carlsbad, N.M., I was qualified to go on the photographer tour of the Carlsbad Caverns simply because I had an adjustable camera in my possession. I was 11, and I was one of 6 people--- who went on the tour. We were allowed to take as much time as we wanted on the tour and the rangers would adjust the cave lighting to our specifications---an incredible experience.)
But I digress. I mention photography because the humidity in the non-coastal Western states is rather low, and that affects the nature of the light. So I have always had a preference for walks and scenery that in that region.
Banff (Canada), Yellowstone, the Tetons, Bryce, Zion---so many places. Really hard to pick only one.
From my room to the fridge.
Hawaii..........did I go for a walk? Oh, I must have.
I really enjoyed the arboratory we went to.
