There's no spam over there, taking up a lot of space. The site is pretty nice but the pages load very slow due to the ads on the pages. I stay off of AnswerMug in the AM (US time) because there is a user that posts anti Trump questions for hours at a time. I don't like to wade through all of her Q's looking for a legitimate question.

Check it out, I'm sure that you'll see some of the regulars that still use Blurtit and a few that no longer do.

You did and what a great job. It was awesome to see. Most users over there hate the Trump Q's as much as you do but they don't have the balls to say anything. I've never seen so many moderator ass kissers as I've seen there.

I like it, Walter. I guess that makes me a loser too.

I joined at the beginning of December and pulled out after about a week for the same reason that you did -- Rosie's anti Trump campaign. I just got fed up trying to find my way through it. But as Blurtit continued to decline I went back in January for another try, this time siphoning out all the anti-Trump stuff, even though that can be a bother. And I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Nice people, friendly site, a few trolls (just as all sites have tend to have one or two -- even Blurtit) and I'm enjoying it.

Of course you were going to stir up a lot of antagonism when you attacked the site with your first couple of questions. You knew that would happen. I hope you'll find your way back there and enjoy the community. If you decide to return you can always call yourself "I'm not Flo either" or maybe "Not Flo's friend Fred".

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the experience, Walter. You're well liked and I'd hate to lose you.

I've even found a couple of points of contact with Rosie (the anti-Trumper). I discovered with both love Omar Khayyam and Roger Federer. I've learned to skim through her input without getting too knotted up about it.

She was the reason I closed my account there after a week. But I was persuaded to back and after about month I'm really enjoying it.

Different people, different hangups, but it's pretty darned good and the owner takes an interest in the site.

Apart from the discussions there are groups and blogs and the chat section apparently gets a lot of use (I'm not a chatter, so I don't really know.)

The lady everybody is talking about is certainly a pain in the butt but I've learned how to spot her questions and ignore them. I've only had one bad exchange on there, flagged his remarks, had them removed, and he's been friendly ever since.

Yes, I can recommend answerMug. It ain't blurtit, and it ain't ask.com. It's unique. I like it. Other people will have to see if it suits them.

Ah, well, there's one problem that I shouldn't mention on a kiddie-friendly site like this one but we have a female impersonator over there. I can't possibly tell you who he is, at least without permission from the guy himself or his good buddy, Fred Jenkins, but he's a bit of a worry.

Have you ever noticed that it's all the same people at all the Q&A sites? I've looked at several of them and seen the same avatars and same user names everywhere. It's like there's one "Q&A community" that just has accounts on every site. Meh. Once this site disappears I'm probably not going to be joining another one.

I've checked in from time to time, but I don't see it moving along very smoothly.  Not a lot of questions I can even identify with.  Not may favorite site.

It is definitely as unique in its own way as Blurtit is.

Wow! After reading all the comments I don't think with that and stuff going on at school I need that in my life right now. Thanks for the heads up! I like to connect and talk to people but not all the drama. School gives me plenty of that!

Probably a wise choice.

I'm 71, and answer-mug reminds me a bit of the community room in an old-folks home---a small group of intelligent, open minded people surrounded by many other groups of opinionated, closed minded people who think their evaluation of anything is the only thing that makes any sense.

Stay mentally young, my friend.
